A Change of Pace

This is the beautiful skyline of the city of Cartegena, in Columbia.
We spent two hours on a Spanish Galleon; part of the time we were entertained by a traditional folkloric show.
I learned something new in Cabo San Lucas. Paul and I sat with this pretend skeleton celebrating the holiday of Day of the Dead. Each November 2nd, families honor their loved ones who have died with remembrances (pictures, candles, etc.). What a good idea!
Here are some of the celebrated cliff divers who perform daily in Acapulco, Mexico.
Our first views of Cabo San Lucas.
Paul enjoys seeing the skyline of Acapulco. Acapulco really is a beautiful city.
We are off on an adventure in Costa Rica in the rain forest. The aerial tram took us high into the forest.

Here we are together in the beautiful dining room of our cruise ship; this is us at the start of the trip before we got sick. You don't want to see what we looked like at the end of the trip! We tried to stay healthy by sanitizing our hands at sanitizing stations all over the ship, but it didn't work.

Other than catching the gung-boo, we had a great time. We started our trip sailing from San Pedro, CA, and glided down the coast of CA and Mexico. The Pacific Ocean was very calm. Then, we spent one entire day watching as we made our way through the Panama Canal. What a fascinating process that was.

The weather was hot and humid--really hot and humid!!! Some of the countries we visited were Mexico, Guatemala, Colombia & Costa Rica. We pulled into Miami, Florida, after spending two weeks at sea.

It was a super trip. Sun, sparkling blue ocean, clear skies, and lush vegetation all made for a fun change of pace from snowy, smoggy Draper, Utah.
